TOKYO, October 30, 2025 -- Oki Electric Industry Co., Ltd. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and CEO: Takahiro Mori; “OKI” hereinafter) and Mito Kogyo (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (Head office: Chonburi, Thailand; Managing Director: Akira Nawata; “Mito Kogyo Thailand” hereinafter) signed a partnership agreement on October 28, 2025, to expand the deployment of the Projection Assembly SystemTM in the Thai market. This system is designed to help ensure zero work errors at production sites. Under this agreement, OKI aims to expand sales channels for the system by leveraging the customer base it has built through its printer business, with OKI Systems (Thailand) Ltd. (Head office: Bangkok, Thailand; President: Takashi Nakasendo; “OKI Systems Thailand” hereinafter), the OKI Group company responsible for printer sales, will serve as the main hub for this initiative. Mito Kogyo Thailand will provide one-stop services locally, encompassing sales, installation support, and after-sales service. The collaboration between the two companies will help

address issues facing manufacturing sites in Thailand, including the need for improved productivity and consistent quality.

Thailand is home to various manufacturing industries, including automotive and home appliance manufacturers. At sites involving assembly processes in particular, problems such as labor shortages, quality variations due to differences in skill among workers, and rising training and teaching costs have become apparent. Promotion of the government’s Thailand 4.0 (Note 1) policy has also placed increasing demands on production sites to improve efficiency and achieve quality assurance meeting international standards.

[Features of the Projection Assembly System]

・ Supports zero work errors and consistent quality
Projection-based visual navigation provides guidance on work procedures, enabling anyone to perform tasks with stable and consistent quality.

Reduces training costs and teaching burden
The system allows human resource development through actual practice, minimizing training costs and teaching burdens.
Tasks are video-recorded to promote the accumulation and transfer of expertise.

Improves quality through visualization and data utilization
Utilizing work history data makes it possible to easily identify issues and areas for improvement and to support quality improvements.

OKI’s Projection Assembly System is a solution that combines projection mapping with image sensing technology. The system supports zero work errors at manufacturing sites of some 100 companies in Japan, and is also slated to be deployed in the Indonesian market. OKI Systems Thailand is launching the deployment of its first industrial solution in the Thai market. This will enable the OKI Group to create new growth businesses in Southeast Asia and promote business expansion in collaboration with local partners.

Mito Kogyo Co., Ltd. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Shigeyuki Narita) is an OKI partner company with an extensive track record in the installation of this system in the Japanese market. The group company Mito Kogyo Thailand will draw on this track record to establish a robust local support structure to help solve various issues facing customers at their production sites.

Based on this partnership agreement, the two companies will build a structure of comprehensive, one-stop services in the Thai market, from sales of this system to installation support and operation and maintenance, providing high-quality support that is closely aligned with local companies to further support the realization of smart factories.

“We are honored to engage in a partnership with Mito Kogyo Thailand, which also has extensive experience in Japan,” commented Shotaro Nakatsu, OKI Executive Officer and Head of the Enterprise Solutions Division. “We hope to combine the strengths of both companies to improve productivity and quality in Thailand’s manufacturing industries and to create new value. In collaboration with local companies, we will accelerate growth and open up the future for manufacturing industries in Southeast Asia.”

Akira Nawata, Managing Director of Mito Kogyo Thailand, remarked as follows: “The introduction of the Projection Assembly System in Thailand through this partnership agreement is highly expected to bring improvements in quality, particularly for customers with sites involving many assembly processes, by combining the system with careless mistake prevention measures and quality verification processes. At the same time, this system can also help address issues related to the mobility of human resources in the Thai market, issues facing many customers, both by reducing training time for new workers and by enabling the transfer of skills from experienced workers through the visualization of work procedures in place of traditional verbal teaching. We aim to expand the deployment of this system across wide ranging fields.”

OKI and Mito Kogyo Thailand will continue to strengthen joint efforts to help solve various issues facing manufacturing customers in Thailand and across Southeast Asia. OKI will also look to expand deployment to the entire Global South to contribute to industrial and social development in each region.
